vivint.

Vivint is the name of the company David now works for. No, he didn't get a new job, APX Alarm just changed their name to vivint. It means to "live intelligently" which encompasses their new products in home automation. Their products will not only be alarm systems but home automation systems like thermostat control, lighting controls, door lock controls, plus more. They had a big event today to introduce the new name and it was very exciting. Change is always a little difficult but it is fun too and I think the company is headed in a great direction. You might not be able to tell from the pictures below, but the new color is ORANGE. So everybody watch for the new vivint orange!!

They're Shoes!

Adam and I walked out to the mailbox today to get the mail. On the way, Adam not only walked through the dirt but used his shoe to move the dirt around. I said, "now your shoes are muddy, wipe them off on the grass." After he did that, I looked at his shoes and said, "Hmm, they're still a little dirty." He looked at me and in a somewhat disgusted voice said, "Mom, they're shoes. They're supposed to be dirty." It struck me as so funny because I guess he's right and that's why we generally take our shoes OFF when we go in the house.

CONGRATULATIONS ADAM!!

Adam received the Wildcat Pride Award today at school for "being kind to everyone. Adam has a great attitude and always works hard." Way to go Adam!

Also, Happy New Year's to everyone. One of my resolutions was to finish knitting a hat I started last fall. I did it and Rachel declared that it was now hers. I guess she likes it. Although she just picked out some bright colored yarn so I could make her one that is really long. Maybe that will be next year's resolution. :)
