Spring Break in San Antonio

We went to San Antonio, Texas, to visit Julie and Micah and their family for Spring Break. We had a great time. Thank you to the Bahr family for having us. We loved every minute of it.

Getting Organized!!

We have this little area inside the door from our garage.  We call it the mud room even though it really isn't a room, it's just a hallway with some hooks and a built-in box.  It really hasn't been working well.  As you can see in the pictures below, we end up with piles of stuff on top of the box as well as on the floor which makes getting into the bathroom (door to the left) just about impossible.

Now we have a little more organization in our life.  At least everyone can keep their own mess in their own cubby holes and the rest of us don't have to dig through it to find our own stuff.    :)

Unseen Tulips

A few years ago I planted these beautiful tulips on our side yard.  Several rows of the yellow and white with several rows of the taller purple-pink ones behind them.  Then we built our fence.  Therefore, nobody ever sees them.  So, I decided to pick a few to put in my living room and also share them on my blog.  Maybe they'll last until tomorrow and I can take them to relief society.  :)

Reffing - Coaching - Playing

I just had to post this because it's fun to see my kids grow and do new things.

I just sent Rachel and Tanner out the door to go referee a soccer game.  Tanner has been an Assistant Ref (that's the line ref) for many years now and Rachel has just started being an Assistant Ref this year.  Tonight is Tanner's first game as the Center Ref.  He was so nervous he couldn't eat dinner but I could tell that he was really excited too.  I've watched many games with him and he knows the rules forwards and backwards and makes the calls before the ref does half the time.

In addition to his advancement to center ref, he has also started coaching.  He is coaching Rebecca's soccer team for Draper City Rec.  I am actually the official coach because it has to be an adult but I don't have any idea how to coach soccer so Tanner has volunteered and he is doing great!!!  They've had 2 games.  The first game didn't go so well but they won the second game.  He was very happy.  Of course, Rebecca was very happy too and is loving soccer and having Tanner coach.  She has even decided to maybe try out for a competitive team for next year.  We'll see what happens there.
