The only thing she wanted for her birthday was a lizard.... so meet Tony the Bearded Dragon. He is very cute, easy to care for, doesn't stink, and he's friendly.

Happy Birthday Rebecca
Rebecca turned 9 last week. My computer has been down once again so I am a little late posting pictures. Bare with me as I catch up and it may seem like I'm doing lots of entries.

A Snowman and Some Easter Eggs
Rachel built a snowman that lasted but a few minutes. It was soon knocked over and then melted away.
We decorated Easter eggs today before David took Joshua and Tanner to the Priesthood conference session. Notice Rachel, Rebecca, and Adam's cute rosy cheeks. Evidence of an excellent spring ski day yesterday! :)

Old Man Winter Has One Last Word
This has been a very mild winter. This is our back yard this morning, April 1, 2010. This is the most snow we have had on the ground all winter and it's really Spring. I think it's BEAUTIFUL and it will make for a perfect ski day tomorrow. :) Happy Spring!

Road Trip to Oklahoma
We decided to go visit David's sister, Julie, who lives in Altus, Oklahoma. Her husband Micah is serving in Afghanistan and we were hoping to give Julie a little moral support. We had a great time on our long road trip and it was especially fun visiting Julie. The kids loved seeing and playing with their cousins.
Here is a little slide show of our trip. After we visited Julie, we dropped Josh and Tanner off at the Oklahoma City airport to fly home. It was Joshua's spring break and he was hoping to get some skiing in. They got home Tuesday night and the rest of us drove and got home Thursday night. They skied on Wednesday and Thursday and then we all went up on Saturday. The season is almost over so we have to squeeze in as much time on the slopes as we can. Besides, the more times we go the better the price on our season pass. :)

Art Appreciation at School
A few nights ago Rebecca's school had an Arts Appreciation Night. There were art displays, music performances, a Shakespeare play, and each class got to do a dance. Rebecca's class did a cute dance about movement and the kids got to help choreograph it. She was very excited to perform and did a good job. Everyone in 3rd grade made tie-dye shirts and then they did their dances in groups according to their shirt color. I did actually video tape it but something is messed up with my camera/computer connection and I can't download it. Maybe later. Here is a picture of some of the kids in her class.

Tubing with Roger, Katrina & Her Kids
Last week my brother, Roger, and his daughter, Katrina, and her two kids, Noah and Levi came for a visit. Roger flew out from West Virginia and picked up Katrina in Montana and then they drove down to Draper to visit me for a couple of days and then on down to Provo to visit Curtis and Terry. It was so nice to see Katrina and get to know her 2 cute little boys. We decided to go tubing at Gorgoza Park which is along I80 on the way to Park City. We had a great time, especially since we didn't have to walk up the hill... we got to be pulled up by a rope tow.
Of course, it's much easier to be pulled along rather than walk and pull the tube. It's a good thing there were a few willing adults around.
