A Happy Weekend

Adam played a soccer game on Saturday.  He is on the Blue Knights team and is doing very well.  I think soccer is in the blood in this family (weird since neither David nor I played soccer).

Rebecca played her last soccer game of the season on Saturday and they did a great job.  She is also on Blue Knights and their team has improved so much.  The first few games were a little painful to watch but the last few have been awesome.  The team has really come together and they play well.  They have a great coach too.  Now we have a little break until indoor soccer starts in January.

Rachel played her last game of the season last Monday and they took an informal team picture afterwards.  They did a good job.  She is still playing for Sparta and loves every minute of it.

Yesterday, Sunday, was an especially nice day.  Joshua gave his farewell talk at church in preparation to leave for his mission on Wednesday.  He did a great job and then we had family and friends over to the house for some food and good byes.

Congrats on the soccer for your kids. How many years has it been now? My kids did AYSO for 7 years in a row, which is also weird because Ryan and I never did soccer either..and we ended up helping coach it, and make soccer banners, and plan soccer parties. Those were the days!!

How does it feel to send another son out on a mission? Since the age limit is changed, I now only have 18 months to prepare my son for a mission and I am freaking out already!
