Week Number 1 of Summer Vacation

What a great week!!  We didn't have a lot on the calendar so we got to do some playing, some relaxing, sleeping in, a few late night movies and lots of reading.  Rachel is reading the Harry Potter books voraciously and discovering lots more inside information than the movies give.  Rebecca is hiding out in her room most of the time quickly reading through the entire "Selection" series of books which I like as well.  Adam spent most of the week outside with friends or inside with friends.  Just the way summer is supposed to be.  And of course, it was David's birthday!!!  We had a birthday dinner and then last night we all went to the Bees game to celebrate and it included fireworks so it was extra fun.  Here are some pictures of our week.

 The garden is growing in spite of the hail storm that ripped all the little leaves to pieces and in spite of all the little crickets that love to eat all the leaves.  Anybody know how to get rid of crickets other than seagulls?

Home Improvement Project..... put a frame on the mirror in the bathroom.  It turned out pretty good and wasn't too difficult so I think I will do the other bathrooms (some time later in the summer)

Happy 49th birthday David!!!

 We managed to make it up to the Draper pool for a while as well.
